In HIIT, we will lunge and squat, do push-ups and burpees, jump and crunch, all to varied interval protocols that will help you become lean, strong, agile, resilient, and powerful. This is an intermediate level class. You don’t need to be fit to participate in this class, but you need to be comfortable with basic movements such as lunges, squats, and push-ups.

Trainer: eric kolaczyk

Bio: Eric Kolaczyk has trained and taught regularly in traditional Asian martial arts for over 30 years, beginning with the Japanese art of Aikido in 1992 and then transitioning to Chinese Kung Fu and Tai Chi in 2005 under the instruction of Grand Master Calvin Chin of Boston, USA. In addition to reaping the various health/wellness benefits from this training, he also spent ten years as a competitor, medaling at various (inter)national tournaments in Tai Chi and Kung Fu bare hand and weapons forms, and in Tai Chi pushing (`sticking’) hands. He is a Level A certified national judge for the US Kuo Shu Federation.

Info on Class: Practiced as a system of fluid, low-impact movements for the benefit of health and wellness, Tai Chi can be viewed as a form of active meditation, whereby the mind/body connection is developed and used to coordinate movements through mental awareness. This type of practice, in turn, has been associated with a variety of benefits, including relief of stress, better balance, and improvement in concentration, coordination and circulation.
