Due to our inactive lifestyle, our joints and muscles can become stiff. Qi Gong is a gentle fitness practice aimed at keeping your life energy flowing. It consists of fluid movements that promote mind, body and breathing coordination. It helps us to become conscious of the channels in which energy flows through the body, sensitizing us to obstacles.
With roots in ancient Chinese medicine, Qi Gong involves a series of simple postures that serve to isolate and work each joint, thus loosening up areas of tightness and strengthen the areas that need stability. When accompanied by deep breathing the postures serve to calm the nervous system, relieving the mind from stress.
Every Sunday at 9am, CSS Gym offers a Qi Gong class led by Grigory Saakov. Grigory has been a student of Chinese martial arts since 2007. As a former physician in his home country and acupuncturist, he is keenly aware of human anatomy and the typical aches and pains caused by our modern lifestyle.
Through regular attendance of this class you can find relief from aches and injuries.
